Some background on human sexuality:

The Truth and Meaning of Human Sexuality -- A 1999 document from the Pontifical Council for the Laity

On respect for human life -- A 2005 instruction from the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith

The nuptial meaning of the body -- One of John Paul II's 129 general audiences wherein he originally delivered his teaching on the theology of the body (This one is from 1980. Others are available on the Vatican website.)

Humanae Vitae -- Pope Paul VI's prophetic encyclical on human life.
